How does Laser Hair Removal Work?
At The Exchange Laser and Esthetics shop we use an IPL machine. What this does is transmit a light though the skin tissue, which is absorbed by melanin – which is found at the root of the hair. Destroys the hair at the “root” of the problem! This is why is cant come back.
It is very quick, relatively painless and very little redness or skin reaction to worry about. Hair growth varies from client to client, therefore number of sessions will vary.
This is dependent on thickness and colour of hair, hormonal changes and skin pigmentation. Results of hair removal are permanent with a recommended touch up session done annually following.
Clients will notice a 30% after each session.

Yes! The less contrast between hair and skin tone, need more treatments though. Blonde on caucasion skin – or african skin with black hair – will need more. Our machine is safe on all skin tones.
